  DEFINITION Job application letter is a letter made by a job applicant for a certain position for acceptance in an agency. In writing a job application letter, it is not always based on one format. But there are many formats or versions that can be used according to the needs of job applicants. FUNCTION Apart from functioning as a communication tool between applicants and job recipients, job application letters also function as an initial assessment tool whether they are suitable to be placed in the position that has been chosen or included in the application letter or not.
